The Steamer Inn stands in one of the finest waterside locations on the Isle of Wight.  With panoramic views across the English Channel and a superb, safe, sandy beach just a pebble's throw away, you would be hard pressed to find a better base for a holiday on the Island. 

Shanklin has for many years held the sunshine record for the United Kingdom.  The town and the quaint Old Village are within easy walking distance via the cliff lift.

The Steamer offers excellent accommodation with eight rooms, all en-suite, four having balconies overlooking the sea where you can watch the sun rise over Culver Down.

Our kitchen has a growing reputation for excellent local "nammit", including the world renowned Ventnor Bay crab and lobster.

We are a free house offering a selection of traditional ales, lagers, wines and spirits.  Why not sample our wares in the spacious bar with its large collection of seafaring memorabilia, or relax on the terrace and watch the world go by.  During the season live entertainment is provided nightly.
